Spay & Neuter
Good for pets and the community

Getting your pet spayed or neutered is one of the best decisions you can make for both your furry companion and the Miami pet community. We still struggle with animal overpopulation, shelter crowding and unnecessary animal euthanasia as a country.

At Paws and Claws Medical Center, our hope is to make sure every pet can find a loving home of their very own. Not only will you contribute to a great cause for animals, your own pet will benefit from reduced rates of certain forms of cancer and other health risks.

We know that your pet is important to you, which is why we carefully consider an animal’s overall health before any surgical procedure. Our veterinarian will perform a physical examination of your pet and perform a few lab tests to ensure that there aren’t any surprises during the procedure. Any surgery that requires anesthesia does carry a small risk, which we work hard to minimize in advance.

Spay or Neuter Procedure

During your pet’s procedure, we monitor all vital signs with state of the art equipment that alerts us to any potential problems the moment they arise. All procedures are performed in a clean and sterile environment, which helps prevent infections and other issues post-surgery.

Safe Procedures

Once we’ve completed the spay or neuter procedure, one of our trained technicians will closely monitor all vital signs until our patients are awake, alert and out of any potential danger. After they’ve been awake for a while, we can then send them on home with you to finish their recovery. Before you leave, we’ll have all the information and supplies you need and answer any questions you may have. If you ever need us, we’re only a phone call away!
