Dear clients and friends,
Pets are family. Even during a crisis, such as the COVID-19 crisis we are all currently dealing with, some may require medical care that simply cannot wait.
Currently, we feel confident in operating as usual. We are, however, making a few modifications to minimize personal contact and protect both you and us.
To minimize personal contact, we have modified some of our procedures:
- We are asking that if you bring your pet in during the next few weeks, please limit the number of guests to one person per pet so that we can limit exposure to our staff and other clients.
- If you are feeling sick, please call prior to arriving outside of our clinic. We will bring your pet into our hospital and communicate with you via phone call. All estimates for vaccines, treatments, diagnostics, and results will be discussed via phone with you prior to acceptance of any proposed plan.
- We will be more than happy to take your pet back to your car once we are finished.
Of course (as most of us are doing):
We always follow strict protocols for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and tools in between patients. We are sanitizing and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces and equipment even more often than usual now, though, in an effort to further protect our clients and staff members.
As always, we wash our hands after each patient.
We are maintaining a 6-foot personal space at all times – except at the moment of pet’s handoff, of course. At this time, there is no hand shaking.
We may continue to shake the patient’s paws—no offense to humans.
We hope all of you and yours stay safe, and as always, we thank you for letting us be part of your pet’s healthcare team. If we feel the need to make additional changes as a result of this rapidly evolving situation, we promise to keep you informed.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at 786-361-9344. We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
