What rabbit owners should know
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHD) can affect domestic and wild rabbits. It spreads efficiently and can kill quickly. If you keep rabbits in Miami — house rabbits, fosters, or a small group — vaccination status belongs in the medical record the same way GI stasis risk and dental care do.
Older public handouts (including August 2020 material that still circulated on the prior site) are not a substitute for current guidance. Disease maps and state reports change. We will not publish a stale “no cases in Florida” sentence as if it were today’s fact. Ask us what applies now.
